Tasks support time tracking, assignees, priorities, deadlines, comments, attachments, and billing. They can be standalone or linked to a project.
Creating a Task
- Click the + quick-create button and select Task, or go to Tasks → New Task.
- Enter a task name.
- Optionally link it to a Project, Customer, Lead, or other record.
- Set a due date, priority, and assign to one or more staff members.
- Click Save.
Task Fields

| Status | Not Started, In Progress, Testing, Awaiting Feedback, Complete. |

| Due Date | Deadline for completion. |
| Billable | Whether time logged on this task is billable. |
Task Views & Statuses
Tasks can be viewed as a list, Kanban board, Gantt chart (in projects), or calendar view. Add custom statuses at Setup → Tasks → Statuses.
Time Tracking on Tasks
Each task has a Timesheets tab where staff can log time manually. You can also start and stop a built-in timer from the task detail view. Logged time is used for billing if the task is marked as billable.
Linking Tasks to Features
Tasks can be linked to: Projects, Customers, Invoices, Leads, Contracts, Expenses, and more. Link from the Related To dropdown when creating or editing.
